Medical Procedure for Gulf Council Countries

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) comprises Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, UAE, and Yemen. The Gulf Health Council aims to establish a standardized medical platform for expatriates entering these countries, ensuring unified registration and medical evaluations.

Medical Examination Procedure for WAFID / GAMCA / GCC Countries:

Step 1: Online Registration
Visit www.wafid.com, select your country of origin, destination country, and choose an approved medical center.

Step 2: Confirmation of Registration
Visit the selected medical center, where your online registration at www.wafid.com will be confirmed.

Step 3: Form Submission
Complete and sign medical declaration forms agreeing to the terms and conditions of the medical examination.

Step 4: Medical Examination Process
The examination comprises the following stages:

  • Initial Assessment: Measurement of height, weight, and blood pressure.
  • Eye Examination: Evaluation of vision accuracy and color blindness.
  • Physical Examination: Conducted by a male or female physician (based on the candidate’s gender), assessing physical appearance, skin conditions, deformities, anomalies, and communicable diseases as per Gulf Health Council standards.
  • Blood Sample Collection: Blood samples taken for hematology, biochemistry, and immunology testing.
  • Chest X-Ray: Screening for anomalies in the chest as per GCC medical criteria.
  • Stool and Urine Sample Collection: Samples collected for laboratory analysis.

Step 5: Medical Report Preparation
Upon completing all tests, you may wait at the medical center or leave and return later. Results will be compiled into a medical report reviewed and approved by the Medical Director.

Step 6: Vaccination Requirements
Upon clearance of medical tests, specific vaccinations are required:

  • Saudi Arabia:
    • Measles-Rubella (MR) vaccine
    • Meningococcal vaccine (to prevent meningitis)
  • Other GCC Countries:
    • Measles-Rubella (MR) vaccine only

Please check with the clinic to confirm which vaccines are mandatory for you.

Step 7: Finalization and Embassy Submission
After receiving vaccinations, you’ll receive your medical report and vaccine documentation. Submit these documents to the respective embassy for further processing.
